Support our mission of classical music for all!
Thank you for your support!
Dear NaBSCO Friend and Contributor,
Please join the Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra’s supporters this year by sending us your tax-deductible contribution today. Your generosity enables the Orchestra to continuously expand its reach and strengthen its reputation as an all-volunteer group performing challenging repertoire in professional caliber concerts, accessible to and affordable for everyone.
This year we are celebrating the Orchestra’s 20th Anniversary Concert Season. In honor of that milestone, all donations received between now and the end of 2025 will be matched, up to a total of $5000, by an anonymous benefactor. This is an excellent opportunity to double the impact of your contribution for the Orchestra and for our community of dedicated musicians and listeners!
As you probably know, NaBSCO has been performing exciting repertoire, partnering with inspiring local musical artists, and exploring unique works by women and contemporary composers. Our concerts are 100% affordable for all music lovers across Rhode Island and the region. Some recent years’ highlights include:
● Great concerts in East Providence, Providence, and East Greenwich, with our pay-what-you-can ticket price making it possible for everyone to attend
● New collaborations with guest conductors and guest solo artists, plus the joyous return of NaBSCO’s founding conductor to oversee programming and nurture the Orchestra’s growing artistic scope
● A wonderful mixture of favorite works from Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Stravinsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov, alongside rarities from Florence Price, Louise Farrenc, and Ivette Herryman Rodriguez.
NaBSCO’s 2025 - 26 Concert Season features four concerts, new venues, a collaboration with the CCRI Choirs, two incredible guest conductors, and thrilling soloists. Among the programmed works are: Berlioz’s Les Nuits d'été with soprano Krista Wilhelmsen; Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, with Charles Dimmick; Beethoven’s Piano Concerto #5, "Emperor" with Gideon Rubin; and much more, including symphonies, concertos, and tone poems by Wagner, Copland, Sibelius, Gershwin, and Corelli.
With your support, NaBSCO’s ambitious plans for the future include:
● Commissioning new works by renowned local and regional composers, to showcase their talent and support both our area’s network of artists and the greater New England music community
● Working with even more top-tier solo artists, performing in a wider variety of venues across the region, and tackling great music the Orchestra has long aspired to program
● Growing a strong NaBSCO educational outreach; collaborating with more local arts organizations; making NaBSCO programs even more visible and accessible to our communities; and improving NaBSCO’s operations to better serve both our musicians and our audiences
Please take a moment to contribute at the link below as soon as possible. NaBSCO and our musicians are incredibly grateful for your help, and for the unwavering support of our entire community. We are proud of what we - our musicians, audience, and our outstanding contributors - have accomplished together. We look forward to seeing you soon.
